To achieve a curbless shower the floor structure was recessed between joists, allowing the finished tile to run flat from the door to the drain.
Waterproofing was installed as a bonded sheet membrane and flood-tested for 24 hours before tile set-out began.
Tile layout was established from the entry sightline so the first full tile lands centred on the vanity rather than at the corner.
